Protein NMR

Protein NMR experiments are defined by our administration as:

NMR studies lasting longer than 12 hours that are conducted on isotopically labeled protein(s) for purposes of backbone resonance assignments, side chain assignments, dynamics studies, and structure determination. Multi-point titrations lasting longer than 12 hours are also included.

Peptides and all other types of molecules are NOT considered proteins and NMR time for these molecules will be billed at the normal rate. Screening and ligand binding studies are likewise NOT considered protein NMR.

Rates are as follows:

  • HMS and DFCI base: $13.43
  • Hospital affiliates/non-profits: $28.46
  • Commercial/Industry: $54.07/hr for the first 100 hours in FY26
  • Commercial/Industry: $42.39/hr from 101 to 350 hours in FY26
  • Commercial/Industry: $37.00/hr for >350 hours in FY26

NOTE: This rate ONLY reflects the time it takes to run the experiments on the instrument provided to the end user. For assistance with protein synthesis, sample preparation, experiment set up, or data analysis, contact us
